Updated for Bob Barker. If there are two more hits in the next fortnight we could have the earliest ever 13th Hit In 2003 the list was going great guns and then ran out of steam in early September. However with the talent left on the current list we could be rivalling 2020

Nick Anderton cancer-free: https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/66684366 I get the feeling though that there's going to be a deadly relapse not too far in the future.

I was sure a hit would come soon. Didn''t expect it to be Al Fayed though. I sense an interesting month of september : I feel like a few of the immortals from the immortals thread will finally succumb. For the official list, I sense two more hits in september : one lingerer (whom I suspect could be Woodward or Starmer Smith, maybe the two of them ?) and a forgotten old chap (Ethel Kennedy, Sandy Gall, Cleo Laine or Stanley Baxter ?). For october : Carter's time. I sense some 18 hits in total but I'd be surprised if we equal 2020. I feel a quite slow month of november and a busier last month with some interesting news and deaths (McGowan, Linda Nolan, Kissinger would be all quite at risk imo).

This was the only place where I picked him, but it does put me at a glorious 22/50. Not sure John Key is still in it though, or around, or alive? But I think there have been absences before.

Too bad the Carpenters didn't make it through. To me, Karen Carpenter has one of the most beautiful and clearest voices in pop music. They might have a chance to come through again this round, but Please Mr. Postman isn't one of my favorites, as they have far better songs than this one (which obviously weren't a UK #2 hit).
