7 pointsNina Simone got her hair, got her head, got her brains, got her ears, got her eyes, got her nose, got her mouth, and it all got cremated after she got her death on this day 15 years ago, aged 70.

3 pointsI'm afraid this man's existence had completely passed me by until today. Lots of celebrities manage to drink themselves to death, but it must have taken real dedication to the cause to achieve this feat while still in his twenties. If it was drink, at least he can now be mentioned in the same breath as Hank Williams

2 pointsYes, but you were talking specifically about John Thaw. Now for all I know he might have been secretly bisexual, but I cannot imagine him being camp. That was my point. As for an example of someone who AFAIK was straight, but camp, I give you Bruce Forsyth.

2 pointsA plan that could be vastly improved by not actually waiting until she dies.

2 pointsIf he's getting his changed, can I finally change my byline to "Mostly Harmless"? Huge Douglas Adams fan, and it might hint to the frivolous nature of much of my posts. Ta.

2 pointsReading "cadaver" over my new avatar picture looks weird. Can I have my byline changed to "club enthusiast"?
-
2 points5 or 6 years past his chart peak, to be fair – he was already naff enough in 2014 that he was producing for Coldplay. By 2015 he was getting cut from a Madonna album. Only finding out now he had a #4 hit last year, though, featuring Rita Ora. It's always 2012 somewhere.

2 pointsBush Snr; Overton; Ricksen; Benedict and Tajima. In that order. Edit: wait a minute that's only 5. Slip Cocks in there somewhere. (If that's not an innuendo....)

2 pointsThe vast majority of my team seem to be holding its own and not scoring in the first half of the year. The kicker, of course, is when none of them score in the second half as well...

1 pointThat is utter bollocks. The notion that the leavers, had they lost the vote, would have been listened to and their views and concerns taken on board is laughable. I'm really surprised at you on that one, you are not exactly daft, even you must see that it would not have happened. Why would it? Cameron had already gone out there and came back with exactly fuck all and STILL he and the remain side were considering his visit a success. The whole point of his visit was to allay the concerns of the leave side in the first place. Having been less than successful how exactly would he and that side have been able to understand anything? I'm not going to address your other points as, fundamentally, we are poles apart in our views and I like you so I'm not going to have a row.

1 pointTook a pill in Oman, to show Avicii I was cool. Gotta be one of the biggest "at their chart peak" deaths of all time really, up there with Jim Reeves and 2Pac.
-
1 pointAvicii. Blimey. And to make things even more terribly sorrowful, he was just too old for the 27 Club.
-
1 pointWell not really, machotrouts had him on last year's DDP on the back of his suspiciously cancelling concerts, some chatter on here, not enough to pronounce a death sentence though...
-
1 pointI have nothing in particular against the name Barbara, except for the fact that David Mitchell and Victoria Coren named their daughter Barbara. She is now about 3 years old. And called Barbara. Who the fuck names a baby Barbara in this day and age? A pair of cunts, that’s who.

1 pointFor no other reason than a discussion about dodgy ages, I remembered the Scots getting done out of the u16 WC Final in 89 by the Saudis. The Scots.... The Saudis.... Bottom row, second in from the left, 35 if a day.....

1 pointCompare the 'British Character Actors' thread which is full of names that might not be immediately recognised by us Brits. But a photo will prompt multiple cries of "Oh, him" (or her), "He/she was in loads of stuff", etc
