Funky Cold Medina. My entry for biggest POS to die 2018. Capt. Ernest L. Medina, the company commander accused and acquitted of responsibility for killing hundreds of Vietnamese civilians in the My Lai Massacre, has died. Medina, 81, died May 8, according to an obituary by the Thielen Funeral Home of Marinette, Wisc. The cause of death was not listed. As commander of Company C of the 1st Battalion, 20th Infantry Regiment, 11th Infantry Brigade (Light) of the 23rd (Americal) Division, Medina was one of some 30 soldiers the Army accused of participating in or covering up the murders. On the morning of March 18, 1968, Medina and the three platoons of his infantry company entered My Lai village in South Vietnam’s south central coastal region. They had suffered losses in the past few weeks while never having engaged with the enemy and were urged to be aggressive in the village they’d been told would contain only enemy fighters. The village in fact contained only unarmed old men, women, children and babies. But over the next few hours, soldiers went on a rampage of murder, rape and torture, in which at least 347 civilians died, according to Army investigation records. The Vietnamese government lists 504 killed. SC

Please tell me you're not losing sleep over this. You need to volunteer at a fish sanctuary, or research owls, or write an erotic novel, Joey. Something - anything - to save you, the consumer, from being consumed by the beast which is the DDP. I hope I'm making sense. I might have been very thirsty today but I'm not wrong (about you falling into a deadpooling vortex), which is, I think, the point I was originally trying to make when I started this post, some time ago now.

There's a big difference between attitudes in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, that's why Trump's decision to move the US Embassy was significant. Sadly being proud isn't enough to ensure your safety. In most parts of the world LGBT people are still at risk of being harmed and Jerusalem falls foul of what should be deemed acceptable. I do think, however, that next year's contest will be something different in a good way, much like Baku 2012. Baku is only a stutter away from Bakubakuhoombakubakuhoomhoombakubakubakuhoompahoompahoomhoomhai.

TESS OF THE D'URBA...FILLS A COFFIN 5/50 13th May 2018 There has been anTessapation of a 5th hit for the Crowdsourced Deathlist for a while, and it has arrived in the shape of former politician Tessa Jowell. Jowell was first elected as a councilor aged 23, and moved up the political ranks, becoming one of the more familiar faces in the lesser Cabinet posts in Tony Blair's government. She was the Culture Secretary brought in to punish the BBC after the Gilligan Affair, although her admirers would point out that she valiantly tried to prevent the existence of BBC3. She founded OFCOM, Sure Start and The BBC Trust, and sought to liberalise the gambling laws. Despite once saying she'd jump in front of a bus for Tony Blair, she also served under Gordon Brown, and refused to join in with the rebellions against him in 2009 despite demotion. However, she was best known for her promotion of the London Olympics pre-bid and afterwards, an idea that Blair called hopeless in 2002 yet was delighted to bask in the glory of a mere decade later. In more recent years she was a recurring critic of Jeremy Corbyn, and made an unsuccessful bid to be London Mayor. This year she spoke out in favour of cancer treatments, having previously announced her own terminal illness. She was 70, and appearing on the list for the first time. She also wasn't Harriet Harman, despite some folk getting them mixed up.

I have to confess there are few celebs deaths that reduce me to tears , and certainly not politicians, but Tessa Jowell is a rare exception. Just the way she fought her illness like a tiger to the very end has really touched me. Condolences to all her family and friends. I hasten to add I am not a fan of Tony Blair or his policies !

Do you really need to post that after every single hit? It’s one thing if you do this exercise every few hits cause we can see more of a change for the potential 2019 list, but seeing almost the exact same list after every single hit is becoming more and more dull.

Israel's winning entrant 20 years ago was a trans woman. Parts of the country (especially Tel Aviv) are a lot more LGBT-friendly than you might think.

"Who really got your admiration for living life to the full, who drank, smoked, shagged and cared not for public opinion as they went their own way? Who would have laughed had they known they were potential DL fodder?" Only two people did it their way and wouldn't have given any fux at being on DL:
