Please kindly put or shut up. I'm back. My game will be updated - probably tomorrow or the day after depending on a few factors. Yes that would my game, that I am committed to running when I'm around. The infrequency of updates as been slower recently admittedly due to a) an ongoing medical issue and b) being banned (not a medical issue, a being a see you next Tuesday issue, but frankly anyone who's entered this after 5 years of me being on the forum knows it's liable to prolonged interludes due to me being a see you next Tuesday. I'm more suprised that anyone is suprised that it is the case that I have unsuprisingly been requested to vacate them room for interludes during the course of this game). The game is not to be resuscitated as it did not die, it merely went on holiday. Normal service (think South Western trains not Japanese bullet) will resume with my reappearance.

If you had the decency to enter at a reasonable day in December, perhaps in the days immediately before or after Christmas your up to date score is probably in the update above. Johnnny come lately's and those who suffered PM abuse from yours truly for 31st December entries will be added in due course. Please save your nitpicking for the official update, which will include any points due for Bracknell. It seems most people are happy with 1st September being used for Bracknell, so will be doing points up to that date. Any additional owing to be added if/when a date emerges.

EMMERDEAD 14/50 16th October 2019 Former Emmerdale actress and forum favorite Leah Bracknell has died after a long cancer bout in order to become the 14th reported death of the year. Early in her career she appeared in the show The Chiffy Kids in 1976, which was directed by her father David Bracknell. It was Emmerdale, however, where she really left her impact at. She played Zoe Tate, a vet and land owner who was much more well known as one of the first prominent lesbian characters in a soap opera. She was fairly popular on the show and her tenure in Emmerdale lasted 16 years, eventually leaving the show in 2005 and the British Soap Award for Best Exit the following year. In recent years her popularity once again shot up really highly, this time due to the fact that she was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in 2016. Never leaving the top 2 in the crowdsource list she was arguably the most popular pick overall to date, though with any long cancer lingerer, the thought of fraud goes inside people's head. However, her death does bring the crowdsource list on level with every other year thus far apart from 2017, with still two and a half months left to go...

Whale washed up in East Lothian had 'agonising death' A whale found on an East Lothian beach suffered some of the "most severe" entanglement wounds ever recorded on Scotland's coast During a necropsy carried out on Monday, SMASS experts discovered the whale had been entangled long enough for the cord to work its way through the skin and blubber layer and into the underlying muscle layer. In some places, the skin had grown over the top of the rope, while in others it had set up a deep tissue infection and abscesses. There were goose barnacles attached to the rope - an indication, the experts said, that the entanglement had considerably slowed the swimming capabilities of the animal.

@Wormfarmer I think that OldCrem should get the points since s/he picked Bracknell in September - not sure of the exact date yet, but @The Old Crem deserves the 5 points + perhaps the double or triple points if the death is found to have occurred during the last 2 days of the month. @Bentrovato should at least be able to choose a replacement for the October list.
