While I do think there may be an element of 'before it's too late', Livvy, sorry, Dame Livvy's gong is thoroughly deserved as she's done shedloads for cancer awareness and charity in Australia and around the world.

Merry Christmas, DDT, Banali's lead singer got the full BBC obit back in 2007 when there were much less DDP obit chasing from the likes of the Mail.

yes you will - back to it now but there’s a backlog . Lots of people spend Christmas Day thinking who might die in next 12 months obviously (ghosts of Christmas future). cheers, GUN

Yep, Grim is taking a well earned Christmas break* so confirmations will be in a few days, probably. *Genuinely, you should see the amount of work hes put into the DDP already. He's doing brill. Even though I can't see the emails, my teams are in early (and forum polis man Cat of the Yard has copies in case anyone thinks I'd try and pull a fast one on them...)

Alan Bennett has turned down a knighthood at least twice, and Glenda Jackson a Damehood. Bill Nighy, Peter Capaldi and Jim Broadbent (how's that for a hattrick of talent?) have all repeatedly turned down the offer of even a mere OBE.

Just left work. No change. Sadly my colleague is still on ICU, her partner who also works with us is with her. He's in pieces. If you love someone, hug them tight tonight. Tomorrow isn't guaranteed.

This definitely has the feeling of her being made a Dame now before it's too late.

Don’t be ashamed. I really wish everyone had a guffaw or two on these deaths. God knows we do on my wee DP I run on Facebook. But that okay I understand the faux sorrow and respect afforded the dead around here. Place would be more fun tho. SC Edit: and don’t think I didn’t see tasteless and Domino’s in same post and let it slide - well played

Alright guys. I've noticed that nobody has appeared to continue the cup for action in 2020. I couldn't let this behemoth of a dead pool die by the wayside, so I've decided to step up to the plate and host the Deathlist Cup in 2020. I do plan to be an interim host, and hopefully we can find someone willing to host this long term starting in 2021, but for now, the cup is safe for another year. See you around after the new year...
