4 pointsProviding some more info: Smosh is a YouTube channel that was created in 2005. When YouTube was a relatively new concept Smosh was one of the most popular channels on the platform. It has had periods of being the most subscribed channel on YouTube with the last period ending in August of 2013. The person with cancer on the channel is Keith Leak Jr, who is 29. He has been a part of the channel since 2015. It should be noted that Smosh has multiple YouTube channels and he is a key figure in multiple of them (as well as social media and Twitch). https://www.imdb.com/name/nm5820878/ ^ This is his imdb page which will show mainly Smosh credits and a few other small projects. The cancer he has been diagnosed with is Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor (GIST). This is an extremely rare and treatable cancer, especially for his age group. If you follow his Instagram page, he has given regular updates and was diagnosed around April 2021. https://www.instagram.com/keithleakjr/ Basically to sum all this up....he has a high chance of being perfectly fine in the long-term.

2 pointsThis is Edward Heath's old seat but like Chesham & Amersham it is probably a hot bed of old school tories and Heath was pro European On paper it should be a walk in the park for the Tories but it is a massive pitfall if they lose it. I reckon Labour will run a low key campaign and allow the Lib Dems a clear shot

2 pointsHerbert Wehler is considered the last living veteran of the SS death squad behind the Babyn Yar massacre. So, Kurt Gosdek and Wilhelm Karl Friedrich Hoffmeister are probably dead.. Unfortunately we have neither any date nor any confirmation.
-
2 pointsWe could also the remaining names from this list, as long as the list still exists: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_most-wanted_Nazi_war_criminals There is a Kurt Gosdek, and a Helmut Rasbol (no trial because of lack of evidence).

1 pointI think you're confusing the demographics. Chesham and Amersham voted 55% Remain in the referendum. Old Bexley and Sidcup voted 64% Leave. Why would Labour allow the Libs a clear shot at anything? They have no pact nor sympathies for the Lib cause. They didn't even do that in Chesham – Labour campaigned hard yet it was the voters who strategically switched to the Libs. This is Old Bexley and Sidcup though: General election 2019: Old Bexley and Sidcup[7] Party Candidate Votes % ±% Conservative James Brokenshire 29,786 64.5 +3.1 Labour Dave Tingle 10,834 23.5 -5.8 Liberal Democrats Simone Reynolds 3,822 8.3 +5.0 Green Matt Browne 1,477 3.2 +1.5 The Libs are absolutely nowhere in this seat. It's not theirs to win if it does switch hands.

1 pointJust watched the 60 Minutes piece as well. Kudos to the show for not trying to shy away from the realities of his disease, but at the same time not taking away from his dignity. He's a remarkable man. Also, bless his wife for taking care of him so dutifully. It does seem like he may only have a year or 2 to go, at most.

1 pointVera Day was married to the rather more famous photographer, Terry O'Neill, so one for the widow shopping thread.
-
1 pointI was recently in a discussion about the classic “Hell Drivers” on the subject of “who’s left from the cast”, and he would appear to be the only one of note still standing. Vera Day, who had a minor role, is also apparently still around.

1 pointI just watched this clip from 60 minutes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yNrvXw9juNs&ab_channel=60Minutes Really quite emotional viewing. It is incredible to watch him turn into the performer he used to be as soon as the music starts or the curtain is raised. It is also touching to see him remember Lady Gaga's name when she walks on stage, and how much it means to her. But the bottom line for us is: although he is physically quite fit for a 95 year-old and his voice is incredible for someone that old, his Alzheimer's is more advanced than I thought.
