Monk and builder Justo Gallego Martínez dead at 96: https://www.elmundo.es/madrid/2021/11/28/61a36e15e4d4d82a688b458a.html Known from the cathedral he had built for around 60 years. I recommend watching this video for more information:

Dave Roberts, author who wrote a few books but whose fictionalised autobiographical work The Bromley Boys was turned into a British movie in 2018 that cast included Martine McCutcheon, Alan Davies and Jamie Foreman, reported dead by his wife: Seemingly no credit for writing the book on IMDB. Probably no bad thing, given The Guardian's rasping criticism of the film: https://www.theguardian.com/film/2018/jun/01/the-bromley-boys-review-70s-football-britcom-shoots-wide

The longer the game goes on the more significant hits like this are. When others share the same winning picks, uniques and total number of hits give you the edge

Heard he went to Lourdes for his birthday. The family pushed him into the healing waters all hoping for a miracle. It happened; when they fished him out his chair had sprouted new tyres!! I'm around most days!

This is a weird case. Every site online refers to him as "Ian "Jimmy" Binning" but his birth certificate says James Binning. Born 1922 in Blantyre. The confusion over his birth year arises from the fact that there was a John Binning born in 1927 in Blantyre. Whoever that man was he died in Glasgow around 2004. Scotland's People confirms the footballer died in Airdrie in 1991, aged 68.

I could see him being a rare "#1 clean sweep" if he makes 2022, topping the DL, the Drop 40, and the Crowdsourced DL. Like Prince Philip this year.

Just an aside to confirm Jimmy Binning died in the 1990's - https://blantyreproject.com/2019/06/ian-jimmy-binning-footballer/ so Ian McMillan is the only surviving member of the squad, albeit he didn't travel. Denis Law, now 81, is the oldest living Scot to have played World Cup Finals football (1974) and behind him it's Willie Morgan, now 77.

I think that article gets top marks as the worst tabloid piece I've read in a while. Riddled with mistakes throughout it. I expect nothing less from The Sun and their gutter journalism. It says John Tinniswood, 109, is the UK's oldest person.

Death Notice for former Air Chief Marshal Sir John Robson Rogers, aged 93: http://announcements.telegraph.co.uk/deaths/252767/rogers No real war service as I understand it, but rose through the ranks of the Royal Air Force to become Air Chief Marshal so there's that. Also, public school educated - was it different times back in the day? No is the correct answer.

I see no problem if people want to post them in their own thread for the 50 on the list.
