Manon Fire Apologies for the delay – looks like someone didn't pass the "famous enough that I find out about her death promptly from the Twitter trends" test. Susie Steiner, former Guardian journalist, has died of brainworms at the age of 51. The author of the Manon Bradshaw detective novels, she will certainly "Remain Silent" now that she's "Missing, Presumed" dead. Those are titles of her books. Sorry, references don't tend to land when they're about "Persons Unknown". That was another one. If there's one condition that inverse deadpoolers know to be scared of, it's obscurity – you know someone's really fucked when they crack the DDP Drop Forty without a Wikipedia page. For the most part, Steiner was picked by only our bravest players i.e. the ones already on the bottom of the scoreboard – thank you to @Doulton, @Hell, and @Neobrakeon for conspiring to preserve my mother's dignity down there – but it's also time to shuffle off for @MortalCaso, who becomes the latest victim picked off from the Zero Points Club. And then there were seven... GAINED TOTAL 1. Death Impends 0 1. Sean 0 1. YorkshireBanker 0 1. theoldlady 0 1. Grim Up North 0 1. Sideik 0 1. machotrouts 0 8. YoungWillz 1 9. Nick 2 9. Pedro67 2 11. My wife frequently jokes that my family are hewn from stone as we seem to have greater longevity compared to her side of the family I am currently in my early 50s I am teetotal (lifelong) and vegetarian (26 years) which I think are both things that would potential improve my potential lifespan but I was diagnosed as prediabetic last year and so have had to make several adjustments to my diet to hopefully overcome that. Though no longer working in an office where the vending machine dispenses hot chocolate for 35p per cup will also probably help.

The "foreign court" she speaks of is part of the Council of Europe, a body independent of the EU and founded during the Second World War by none other than Tory poster boy Sir Winston Churchill. Apparently, Suella disagrees with Churchill. Braverman is truly awful: she's one of the small group of Brexiteers who voted against the May withdrawal bill on all 3 occasions - even Boris voted for it the third time.

Isn’t he rich? Why’s he still there? It’s weird he’s still hanging around, In disrepair Send out the clown It’s taking the piss No one approves He likes it when others ‘go down’, But now he won’t move Make him back down Send out the clown Government’s stopped! Leadership wars! Scraping the barrel for Cabinet ministers Down on all fours How can we trust him again with our national affairs? ‘Resign’ means ‘Resign’ But he’s still there Thrown out on his arse By mutineers So borrow a flamethrower back from Ukraine To persuade him, my dears He let us all down Send out the clown Oh, hubris, you’re here! Call out his lies Gone are his spells Kind of ironic the ones in the sewer Have found out it smells Now they’re all clean Digging a ditch His whole career Using the power of hatred, corruption, and fear Send out the clown Then ‘release the hounds’ So he can’t reappear

On this day in 2005 british actress Gretchen Franklin died aged 94. Best known for playing eccentric gossip Ethel Skinner in BBC soap EastEnders Gretchen had a long career in acting on stage and screen prior to the widespread fame EastEnders brought. Her big career break came during the second World War when she was cast in a successful series of revue shows at the New Ambassadors theatre alon Hermione Gingold. Appearances on the big screen included Before I wake(1955) with Maxwell Reed and Jean Kent, Twisted Nerve (1968) with Hywel Bennett and Hayley Mills and The Night Visitor (1971) with Max Von Sydow and Liv Ullmann. She originally played Ethel for 12 years from 1985-1997 before her character was sent to live in a care home offscreen. An exit she felt very disappointed and angry about feeling that if Ethel had to leave she deserved a big exit storyline. Alas this was remedied 3 years later in the year 2000 when a dying Ethel returned for a critically acclaimed heart wrenching but controversial euthanasia storyline. One off appearances in a number of british television shows over the years such as the elderly girlfriend of Hyacinths Daddy in sitcom Keeping up appearances in 1990, a troubled mother Miss Janes in an episode of the TV adaptation of Enid Blytons The Famous five and and the Witch Cordelia in the first episode of Black Adder in 1983. Married only once to writer John Caswell Garth who died of cancer aged 50. They had no children. Gretchen was announced to be presenting her friend June Brown a lifetime achievement award at the British Soap awards in 2005, however she became too ill to attend and EastEnders original cast member Anna Wing presented the award to June instead. Just a few months later Gretchen died.

Trena peed, and Waynesha, too. I am, once again, reminded of the lobby lady of the New York Madame Tussaud's whose name was the word "charisma", spelt in a very mutated way, a q at the beginning, for example.
