Hans Herrmann, the impressive and exceptionally versatile motor racing driver, one of the most successful racing drivers of all time and one of the few remaining witnesses of his era, whose motorsports career lasted from 1952 to 1970, best remembered as a fantastic long-distance specialist, who was kidnapped once in the 1990s, and was born in Stuttgart, Germany, is 95 today. Linda Nolan, the famous and phenomenal Irish actress, singer, and television personality, who started her professional singing career in the 1970s, who originally made her name and found fame as part of family singing group "The Nolans", whose solo career began in 1983, a widely recognised face who is no stranger to being on the television, is 64 today.

Appeared on Chris Sarandon's podcast. Seems well. (Incidentally, Sarandon also looks terrific for his age.)

Saw Marisa and the moths at Purple turtle in Reading a couple of weeks back. Very good, will go far. Got this next month. Interesting line up for a pub gig by the seaside

This has never sat right with me either. It’d be like adoptive parents only ever saying “my adopted son/daughter”.

Cambodia's longtime dictator/prime minister Hun Sen says he is prediabetic. Some say he could also be "much more ill than he's said". 70 now. Two of his siblings, older brother Hun San and younger sister Hun Sinath are very ill, his other older brother died last year, also his wife Bun Rany has been seriously ill atleast twice in the past.

Could be pancreatic cancer and wholly unrelated to his previous cancer as all his siblings and father died from it.

RIP Yasue Okai and Kimiko Ono. Kimiko Ono seemed to be in good shape however Fusa Tatsumi outlived her. Fusa could be a new Nabi Tajima as she continues to defy expectations.

Not sure if this even fits here, I wouldn't call this guy a bodybuilder, but he doesn't really fit into the performance drug athletes thread either as he was certainly not an athlete... "Brazilian Hulk" Valdir Segato, "bodybuilder" who injected himself with Synthol for years dead on his 55th birthday from a heart attack. He's the one who had massive breasts.

On The Masked Singer tonight (as a panellist rather than dressing up as a tapir) for any form-spotters.

You're a Gillingham legend if three people from as far away as Maidstone or Dartford have heard of you, right? You're a Gillingham legend if three people from as far away as Maidstone or Dartford have heard of you, right? Oh yes. He'll be closely followed by Carlisle legend Gary Madine the way he is going at the moment. Madine's tragedy is made worse for Carlisle by the fact that he was a few games short of enough appearances for Sheffield Wednesday for Carlisle to cash in on an appearance-related bonus in his contract. Looks like he's no longer wanted at Hillsboro and he'll be in jail long enough for his contract to be voided. He's actually been training at Brunton Park, promoting the obvious we'll have him back/ our Lee Hughes posts online.

Yes, but there's no BBC obit, ergo, he's still alive.

It is good but not perfect. It suffers from the cheap BBC 70's special effects but makes up for it in scripts and performance. It paves the way for Babylon 5.
