Was listening an interview today with the Deputy Editor of the Economist who interviewed Kissinger last month for eight hours. He said that Kissinger had mentioned that he is planning to write two more books - one on Artificial Intelligence - which apparently he's very concerned about. Whatever your thoughts on the man's ethics (and they are somewhat dubious) that's remarkable for someone who's now 100.

Henry Kissinger reached his 100th birthday so he is now the new most notable centenarian ever. I think he will retain this position for some time. It would be very hard for Jimmy Carter to reach 100.

Think I said this before but my Grandmother lived near Rolf at one point and knew him socially albeit loosely and always said she found him creepy and unnerving to be around.By the time of his trial and conviction she was in the final stages of dementia so never knew how right her interpretation of him was.

Saw this on Twitter and thought it was interesting: no U.S. President has died in May, and Carter's only a week away from keeping that true. However, June and July are the most popular months for Presidential death, with 6 and 7 each.

The fact he is giving us the information in dribs and drabs I am almost certain is a way of slowly bracing everyone for the news that he is dying. As he has a large extended family and many friends and associates I am guessing he is telling them all everything before addressing the public.
