Argentine paleontologist Ruben Dario Carolini, is dead aged 79. He discovered giganotosaurus , considered by scientists as the biggest animal who have ever lived on earth, in 1993 in his own country. The complete name of that dinosaur is actually giganotosaurus carolinii in his honor.

László Hódy (Wiki) later known as Les Hody, Hungarian basketball player, died on 26 May 2023. He first represented Hungary at the 1952 Olympics. After the 1956 Hungarian Revolution, he sought refuge and emigrated to Australia. There he changed his name to Les Hody and was able to acquire Australian citizenship. He then played for Australia in 1964 Olympics. In doing so, he became the first Olympian to compete for 2 countries. Fun fact, he was the youngest player for the 1952 Hungary team while he was the oldest for the 1964 Australian team.

Mike Yarwood was a real household name in the Seventies but time left him behind. When I saw the news I was actually surprised, I thought he'd died quietly years ago. It's surprising again to realise that he was still only in his forties when his career was pretty well over.
