Perhaps a more accurate way of stating it is that Bone aided and abbeted Chope: https://www.theguardian.com/society/2019/feb/08/tory-mp-who-blocked-upskirting-bill-halts-fgm-protection-law-christopher-chope Oh aye, and...his Wiki page has a fairly lively section on allegations of bullying and sexual misconduct. That man's a Tory's Tory if ever such a creature existed: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Bone

Sir Sam Neill, regarded as one of the most versatile actors of his generation, was diagnosed with Stage III Angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma last year. More recently, his chemo has stopped working and he is on a drug that is also seemingly likely to run out of puff sooner rather than later. A rather real possibility for the DL 2024 at this rate.

It has been for many years. Like at least 25. I've known a few agents in my time, and to get on a Carter detail is always a highly requested assignment because it's quite chill while also technically still counting as Presidential Protective Experience (or PPE), which is usually required for promotions.

"Well, there was this one bit of tottie numerous years ago, and obviously when I could still get it up without medical assistance...Resisting my advances was wrong on their part. But I have learned from this and have only employed people who make the elephant man look pretty, and who will be easily bought for a few pounds to testify to my impeccable record as an employer and MP." To paraphrase.

Report that Jay Norris, Cliff's English teacher who he long credited with spotting his career, has died aged 103: She apparently authored a couple of books so would have qualified as a DDP pick. Anyway, she pops up here 31 years ago on a special edition of Gloria to talk about her pupil:
