This is nothing but opinion, but here's mine. I don't know that Biden is suffering from dementia or anything like that. But I think he's probably senile. So when you have a man who is senile, can they do the job behind the scenes, with a lot of advisors in place and the like? Yeah, I think that's not unreasonable. But you put a man in his early 80's who is senile through the rigors of a presidential campaign, which in the U.S. goes on forever, and in front of cameras and doing campaign events and traveling and talking to the press and debates and interviews...and it is going to show. He's not up for that, which the debate so sadly showed. Take that pressure off him, and now on the occasions where he does go in front of the press, he doesn't look as bad.

The Mohs scale of hardness should probably have an 11 added for "mymango when he sees a picture of Jimmy Carter".

Jimmy Carter is a good metaphor for the list. There is not a single fucking reason why the list should not score, exactly as there is not a single rational reason for him to be still alive. This list risks to be the worst in more than 30 years, and it is not even remotely as bad as it was sometimes. Carter, Chomsky, now even Van Dyke are on the clock. Laine looked horrible last year. Skinner was on his deathbed five years ago. Starmer-Smith was already a cadaver there years ago. Whale and Nolan have had "terminal" cancer forever. Woodward has one of the longest Alzheimer's cases in America. Hackman looked dead last year. Law has been sick for years, yet he is the only elder footballer not to cop it. Rantzen has another alleged terminal cancer. Flack has fucking ALS at 87. Rollins has suffered from years of pulmonary fibrosis. And even without them, Nelson, Castro, Marcos, Bardot, Le Pen and many others are over 90 and could go at any moment (most of them have also been very sick in the past). Jimmy is just the tip of the iceberg, what's going on is nonsensical. It was nonsensical in July and it is even more nonsensical now. If you want to see it from another perspective, it's a miracle.

Go for it Gary 19/23. Though leaving the house without an umbrella and a fair number of the others don't really seem to me to be exactly Evel Kneivel level risks so I don't think I'm that mad.

NO. There are way more worthy candidates. Putting people 80+ on the list who look "kinda frail" with no better reason is exactly why we've had a shit year of hardly any hits.

If Jimmy Carter outlives him, it will go down as one of the biggest jokes in deathlist history.

For the last decade or so (bar lockdowns) I've been walking at least nine miles a week exercise wise and find my asthma is in a lot better shape. Also taking stairs instead of lifts but that's claustrophobia rather than fitness reasons.
