Man, the committee deserves some kind of medal if they, after snubbing her year after year after year, were to get a hit with her on their first attempt. B)

We've been badgering the committee into including her since 2015. Yet here she is, 100 years old and still breathing in 2024. You have to admit that we got it wrong and they got it right.

Rare for one of the most surprising 2024 DL candidates to also be one of the most promising. Same with Derek Draper.

Rest in peace. Glad she was recognized and included in this year's list, though she never became a Dame before passing away...

Very sad news.

Best to wait until we know for she didn’t die in 2023 until we declare it the first hit.

Her publicist Mitch Clem told Eyewitness News she died Thursday from natural causes.

Shortest debut on the DL since Gerry Rafferty in 2011, who also died on 4 January.

For all the obit writers on here -  remember Send in the Clowns was written for her and can be used to make a good headline

The committee had such good timing here you'd think they were doing a séance with the ghost of Jimmy Jones

Good timing by the committee (or they jinx her with her DL addition ?)
