Death In The Family

Recommended Posts

My condolences @drol, what comforts a little is that he did not suffer, but the pain of loved ones remains

My condolences. 85 is a good/high age but when a loved one passes away it's always a sad occassion for family members and others close. All the best.

Thank you all. It's difficult to accept, he had been in very good health for the last year. This came out of the blue.

My great aunt died yesterday aged 102, few months after breaking her femur in a fall. She was a very nice person, and had a long life, even with the tragic event of losing a daughter.

My condolences to you - what a fabulously long life! Long enough to get her card from the Queen (if she resided in an eligible country). May she rest in peace.

Sorry to hear.  When people have lived to a great age it's harder to accept that they are gone.  You expect them always to be there.
