Alright, let's have a bit of an update... I actually forgot about Bibian Mentel, so.. thanks! She was picked by only a few, but yielded quite a few points. Paul Cosford and Sarah Hughes are also hits, the latter is a unique hit for me. Plus Alcee Hastings, picked here and there. Rodion Rosca was a bit of a "Guardian or bust" gamble. It's pretty certain that it didn't work, for Banana and me. It's my third non-obit - quite possibly a record! Dramatic changes are missing though. Wormfarmer rises two places because of Bibian Mentel. Rank Team Score 1 Cpt. Quite the cruel ending to her campaign, with the Ministry of Defence denying her husband a medal, and then dying hours later. Might also be a cruel ending for Clorox’s cup chances, who’s already 8 points down with only a week past so far... Robert Fletcher (wiki), American costume and set designer on stage (3 times Tony Award nominated) and four Star Trek films, supposedly died April 5th aged 98. His husband, Jack Kauflin, who was a dancer on Broadway, survives him. Not sure of his age but he had credits going as far back as 1944 so worth keeping in mind as an obscure name.

Capt Sir Tom 100: Family unveils NHS fundraiser's 'birthday challenge' Published 12 minutes ago Share IMAGE COPYRIGHTPA MEDIA image captionCaptain Sir Tom Moore, originally from Keighley near Bradford, raised almost £33m for charities supporting the NHS The family of Captain Sir Tom Moore have encouraged people to take on their own "100" challenge on what would have been his 101st birthday weekend. The Army veteran, who raised almost £33m for NHS charities by walking 100 laps of his Bedfordshire garden before he turned 100, died on 2 February. People have been asked to create their own challenge around the number 100 to raise money for charity. His daughter was quoted as saying 'Please support this and keep buying the merchandise to ensure I stay in the public eye. I intend to try to get on Pointless Celebrities, Celebrity First Dates and the jungle programme before the end of the year - all to ensure his legacy is not forgotten, of course'

This is one of the most surprising and hard-hitting potential deaths of the year so far for me - I was never a superfan or anything but I've always enjoyed blasting some of his songs during rough periods. I generally don't listen to a lot of hip hop but I do find something cathartic about it at times. I think at this state we're looking at a "dead or an invalid" situation. Even if he miraculously survives he's not going to be the same man he was prior to this by any stretch of the imagination.

Principally, I’m for it. But I do have large reservations about it domestically; nothing to do with fucktards shouting “freedom” because they don’t want a jab because ooh they’re so hard. It’s the abuse that untrained staff will encounter from said idiots, and the even further extended damage that theatres, pubs and all other entertainment venues will suffer as a result of, for now, a heavily reduced clientele - their main ones, of course, being young people who haven’t yet had the vaccine offer. Internationally speaking, however, there’s no two ways about it - it needs to be done, mainly because of such disparity from nation to nation with regard to restrictions, virus presence and vaccine rollout.

They would still have the right to refuse the vaccine. But others would have the right to choose only to admit vaccinated people to their events or premises.
  21. 1 point
Nay. People should have the right to refuse the vaccine, it is completely up to us what we decide to put into our bodies - not the government. We should not have to earn back our human rights on the count of some higher power.

When you go to say certain countries in Africa, you need proof that you have had certain vaccinations (Ebola for example). Why just not add on to that you have had vaccine for Covid? For working in the NHS I had to have proof that I had certain vaccinations as well or were immune to it (chickenpox). Because I had never had it as a child I then had to have the vaccine for that.

Nay I think it would just encourage folk to travel abroad if they had one and I am still of the opinion that ALL overseas travel should be stopped, particularly inbound.

British TV presenter and equestrian Luisa Zissman is keeping her late horse with her in more than spirit. Zissman shared on Instagram Tuesday that she previously had to put down her horse Madrono due to cancer — but the beloved animal will now be with her indefinitely after she had him preserved by a taxidermist. Ebay. I sold a few things over the weekend, and because I haven't sold anything on there for ages, they're treating me like a new seller. I've never done much selling on there, but I have done some, all without any problems arising, and I am a regular buyer who always pays up straightaway and leaves feedback. You'd think it would count for something, but no.
