1 point2022 Shadow DeathList Competition Big note: Please don't challenge individual names on someones list when they post. When a celebrity dies, this discussion can take place then. This is more of a "everyone who already makes a normal Shadow DeathList should come and submit this here anyway" kind of thing, to explain the motive of this competition and why the rules are generally relaxed. To enter: Have a list of 50 celebrities chosen by yourself, for their likelihood to die in 2022. Candidates must be famous enough that their death is confidently expected to be reported by any countries media On the issue that someone isn't famous enough, I have no idea how to deal with that. Adding strict rules and limitations doesn't seem very cool though, because I want people to feel comfortable posting their normal Shadow DeathList. Candidates cannot be famous solely for the fact they are likely to die imminently Candidates may submit their list any time from September 2021 to December of 2022 of 50 names + 5 subs. Post your list here to enter, there's no stress in posting it by January 1st if you're ultra-competitive with keeping your names a secret Names on the scoreboard will only count AFTER you submit your list. If you submitted your list on the main Shadow Lists Forum or another similar forum late this may be taken into consideration. (If you submit a list in February of 2022 without having had posted it elsewhere, deaths occurring in January aren't going to count) Things to keep in mind about any person you choose: Are they likely to obit in a major newspaper? Are they a well known celebrity? Do they have a Wikipedia page in any language (that clearly wasn't made just for Deathlisting) You will not be asked to prove any of these when you post your list, but upon your candidates death you may need to meet some of these criteria. I will try and be pretty relaxed on these and use discretion, but family members of yours/local nobodies are the reason why I'm not just saying that all names will count if they die. A rough guideline that I don't follow is to probably try and pick names that the "main" DeathList may also pick. Scoring System: One death = One Point Making this early to take criticism of making this, suggestions, and to give me time to think of necessary rules. The inspiration for creating this comes from wanting a clear place to compare how my Shadow List does to the main DeathList. Anyone else that wants this for any reason is welcome to join and post their list below at a reasonable time. It is a valid criticism to say that the lack of rules may affect the quality of names or the formality of this deadpool. Some people already make a Shadow DeathList and I want this to be a place where we can compare them. For 2022, at least, I won't have formal rules on names. Being reported in the newspaper and having a Wikipedia Article that isn't a stub will go a long way.

1 pointWelcome to this fine competition to predict the frontpage of this site: The DeathList Prediction Game 2022! But what is it all about? It's not that hard: What do you think the official DeathList 2022 will look like? Which celebrities will be chosen by the Committee in which order? Please tell us by picking 50 celebrities listing them from No.1 to No. 50. This is the scoring system: +10 points for the exact position +5 points if the person is on the DL 2022 but 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 positions away from the original position +4 points if the person is on the DL 2022 but 6, 7, 8, 9 or 10 positions away from the original position +3 points for every newcomer who also entered the DL 2022 +2 points for every returnee who entered the DL again +1 point if the person is on the DL 2022 but more than 10 positions away from the original position 0 points for unique picks -3 points for every pick who is not listed at the DL 2022 Please name 3 extra names/subs in order of priority. Just in case that the replacement is taken, please tell me in which (any) place the sub should be placed. The other places automatically move up or down and close the gap if necessary. The player with the most points will win the DL Prediction Game. But even after this announcement, which will take place on New Year's Day or maybe a little later*, the action is not over because it is exciting and interesting to see, who will win a litte side kick game at the end of 2022: Were you smarter than the Committee? Did you have more hits? Would „your“ list have won? This side kick game will not be included in the DL Hall of Fame. It's just for fun. *Since I'm not at home for New Year's Eve and will probably come back late on New Year's Day, the announcement of the result will be delayed a little, maybe on January 2nd, no later than January 3rd. Hopefully this will also prevent calculation errors. I name this for reasons ... Please send me your DL Prediction Top 50 plus 3 subs through PM until the 31th of December 2021 at 22:59 CET (mainland Europe time 21:59 GMT). All entries are welcome if they include 50 different people in a chosen order from No. 1 to No. 50 (and 3 subs). Thanks for joining! Hall of Fame: 2016: Book 2017: Book 2018: John Key 2019: Vaagheid 2020: TomTomTelekom 2021: Vaagheid

1 pointThere's really no point in abdication at this stage. If she had wanted to do it in order to let Charles succeed at a younger age, she would have done it years ago.

1 pointDon't`Look Up (Netflix) is worth a watch, Meryl Streep and Leonardo di Caprio are good. Jennifer Lawrence is less wooden than usual. I know it's naff and belongs in the 1970s but usually watch Blankety Blank, Christmas edition was OK apart from Tom Allen's constant attention-seeking

1 pointThe death rate in the UK is about 9.4/1000 each year. This means that of the population of UK of 69 million around 650,000 die each year. Or every day 1,781 people die. Currently over 500,000 people are testing positive for Covid each week. That means in a 4 week period 2 million people will have Covid. That means that statistically if Covid is not deadly at all we can expect 2/69 * 1,781 = 52 people to die every day within 28 days of testing positive for covid. If the 500,000/week doubles to say a million a week then you can expect the 52 people to become 104. So the only way of eliminating ‘statistical’ covid deaths is to eliminate cases. Here's some other related info about Covid. There was 112000 deaths involving influenza/pneumonia in 2020, looking like it’s dropped significantly in 2021 – I’m not hearing this in the news. The dotted line is the annual average. The death rate in 2019 for the UK was 9.3 per 1,000, 9.4 in 2020 and 9.4 in 2021 I think so the graphs above are just confirmation of the obvious related fact that if so many people had a covid related death then death by all other causes have dropped. Again Covid positive within 28 days is 'robbing' the other causes of death.
