just give a bit of time and all will be sorted - the pointing out of the errors is an important and useful part of the process but then they need fixed which is normally more complex than would appear. Thanks for your patience.

Italy's oldest person, Ida Zoccarato, dead at 112. Survived COVID and a heart attack in 2020. Now the oldest one is 111-years old Angela Tiraboschi (yes, Italy is currently sucking at supercentenarians), but the oldest Italian-born person is Delio Venturotti, who is impressively still going strong at 112.

No worries, of course, maybe Duffy (actor) is taking this year off being a dead pool candidate and he'll emerge again next year - we'll all say we thought he was dead, but in the end we'll realise we all just dreamed it but "it seemed so real!"

Lata Mangeshkar, India's most famous singer ever, has been in hospital for a while with COVID and pneumonia. Today doctors said she will take a lot to recover, which seems rather ominous. Also hospitalised in critical condition in 2019 with respiratory failure and spent weeks on life support.

I'm not necessarily changing the masterlist, just if your appropriately ordered sub dies and there's an exception in your main list, it will absolutely contribute to your score - I may need a reminder though. I've been told that one of my picks, Berniece Baker Miracle (Marilyn Munroe's sister), may not have been as alive as I thought she was! Some may call it laziness, I call it absolute fear of botching something up. I think it's all fine though

Worth noting Flo Ayres was among the survivors of the first episode of Sesame Street, as the voice of Sissy the Skunk in this claymation segment: Cast listing here. A good few of note left, including Frank Oz of course. And didn't realize Grace Slick contributed!

Sad news. Breaking Glass is a huge favourite film of mine and Eighth Day in particular is amazing. I had the pleasure of meeting her in 2012 and she was lovely. *Really* tiny though; Jon Finch and Mark Wingett tower over her in BG, and even 5ft 3in me was taller. And if you've read 'Expensive Habits' by Simon Garfield and/or know anything about record contracts history you'll perhaps have a little sympathy re her money issues - her Albion contract is probably the worst example of getting f***ed there is. Hope she gets well soon.

David Jason wants to play Del Boy one last time. Not sure this is a good idea. The series already went on for too long and now all of Del Boy's contemporaries (bar Denzil and Roy Slater) are dead. Perhaps he could do an episode with Dawn French as the Vicar of Dibley https://www.thesun.co.uk/tv/17353942/david-jason-del-boy-only-fools-and-horses/

Ahem, no they aren't ;). It has to be set manually, and it seems I began to skip over that part at around the 30th pick. Will be sorted.

We're officially up. The sidebars are updated, 2021 in the archives, and a little introductory post by me ahead of the actual obits. Plenty of work to go - but we're open.

The Golden Girls, as I stated on an earlier post, is genius and I recommend it to anyone. Yet I still don't get the whole "Saint Betty" stuff. A tad weird, and a bit creepy(?) as well. I think it's because she had this persona of a nice, friendly, and funny old lady so people really warmed to her, but Toast hits the nail on the head with that post above. It's the arrogance from others. This attitude of "I love her and therefore you must love her too or else", which is rather baffling.
