Thomas Dean "Tommy" Aaron, American former professional golfer, who began playing golf at age 12, widely known as the first native Georgian to win the Masters Tournament, his first and only major championship title, which he captured in 1973, is 86 today. Julie Walters, the exceptional actress, author and comedian, one of Britain's finest actresses of her generation, who started her acting career in the early 1970s, widely known for a large number of hit films, including "Educating Rita" (her notable big screen debut), "Billy Elliot", "Mamma Mia!", and the Harry Potter film franchise, who was born in Smethwick, Birmingham, West Midlands, England, is 73 today.

West End Girls may not have won the main game, but it won the battle that mattered. It secured a well-deserved place in the final while Rick’s ancient meme rots forever in the junk folder where it belongs.

I couldn't make sense of your reply, until I went back to my post and saw you posted the same exact thing 15 minutes before I did. Apologies for not paying closer attention, I just realized that Sunday what the three day weekend was for. Wasn't trying to steal your original thought.

There wasn't even a bonus point for thanking the host - just a penalty of 2 points if you didn't! You can tell Mrs Pedro that your thanks for allowing her to enter was considered good enough for her to avoid the penalty. I did thank myself profusely for being such a wonderful host, and just an all round great guy . It was a bit sickeningly over-the-top to be honest. (I did say thanks to Clorox when I sent him my team for safe-keeping, so I figured that was sufficient for me to avoid a penalty)

O'Connor is the first woman to sit on the Supreme Court so I would say is unquestionably notable enough. Feinstein as you say passes the fame criteria as she is a long term Senator and has been quite a presence in Washington. When she dies be it today or in 15 years she will get an obituary from all the national news sites in the UK and it will most likely be mentioned on all news bulletins of the day albeit later in the programme depending on the news on said day.

Hmm - an update up to 90 then. There's about 40 living possibles from 1934 alone still. Also, the Cmme picks have opened up a few other names.(If anyone else has done a Gerald Harper and changed their public DOB - fuck them, its a ball park, not an exact science...) 1919 - June Spencer (but imo she'd have been on the list by now) 1923 - Glynis Johns (but ditto) 1924 - Eva Marie Saint, William Russell 1925 - Davie Graham, June Lockhart, mayyybe Ysanne Churchman 1926 - Roger Corman, Norman Jewison, Gudrun Ure, Lee Grant (born around then), Glen Michael (based on Cmme's love of 70s TV stars) 1927 - maybe Estelle Parsons or William Daniels 1928 - Tom Lehrer, Hans Blix, James Watson, Peter Cellier, James Ivory, Dr Ruth 1929 - Patricia Routledge, Len Deighton, Winnie Ewing, Thelma Barlow, Stuart Hall, Peter Higgs, John Nettleton, Joan Plowright, Vera Miles, Berry Gordy, Frank Gehry, John Woodvine, Jerry Hardin, Gaston Glock 1930 - Tippi Hedren, Buzz Aldrin, Gene Hackman, John Astin, Clint Eastwood, Gena Rowlands, Bernie Ecclestone, Warren Buffett, James Baker, George Soros, Eileen Derbyshire, Clive Revill, Sandra Day O'Connor, Mary Quant 1931 - Gerald Harper, James Earl Jones, Don King, Rupert Murdoch, William Shatner, Kenneth Cope, Dan Rather, Ken Bates, Virginia McKenna, Claire Bloom, Roger Penrose, Leslie Caron, Rita Moreno 1932 - Piper Laurie, John Williams, Bill Roache, Petula Clark, Roy Hattersley, Quentin Blake, Bernard Ingham, Dabney Coleman, Ray Reardon, Joel Grey, Brian Murphy 1933 - Kim Novak, Duchess of Kent, Michael Caine, Sian Philips, Joan Collins, Joan Bakewell, Cormac McCarthy, Julie Newmar, Roman Polanski, David McCallum, Michael Dukakis, Michael Heseltine, Michael Aspel, Sheila Hancock, Quincy Jones, Derek Martin, Robert Blake, Biddy Baxter, Barbara Knox

Decided to give this country legend a well overdue thread, especially cause I think he could potentially make a great deathlist pick next year. With so many health issues he had to deal this past year, surely he can't live much longer, can he?

I'd add Mahathir Mohamad to 1925, got a lot of attention from BBC last year, if he keeps being a controversial powerhungry asshole maybe one day. However I don't think he'll live another year or two. But I think there's a chance he could end up on the list, atleast it at this point seems more likely than the Committee ever realizing Glynis Johns and Eva Marie Saint are still alive... From the remaining world leaders born in the 1920s I think he's also the most likely pick. Personally I don't think they'd ever pick Giorgio Napolitano, Ali Hassan Mwinyi, Tomiichi Murayama, Sam Nujoma or any of those others. Question, is there a chance they'd ever pick, for example, Paul Dooley? Katherine Jackson? Pat Robertson? Vigdís Finnbogadóttir, Isabel Peron? Edit: Sidney Cooke?

That Get Back documentary, although it clearly is "Paul is alive so he gets to decide the narrative" show, does absolve Yoko of multiple sins. It was more that George had absolutely no desire to still be in The Beatles and John really, really hated Paul ramming music hall flourishes into every song.

I think it's just been an unfortunate month for the cup's opening round to take place. There was no big name on the table at the month's start for everyone to get easy points, there weren't really any British local media stories about "guy who played for League 2 team has weeks to live", and a lot of the Drop 40 names this time out seem much more liable to drop later in 2023. Still, we have to play by the rules given so on, shall we say, the 23rd I will draw the provisional "winners" of each currently tied match. Therefore people will know if they need to start thinking about putting a team together.
