Quite sad to see him in this condition, but bravo to him for wanting to actually be there at the service. He has obviously defied the odds to this point, but I can't imagine that we're looking at more than days here. Would be shocked if he makes it to 2024. Compared to a few months ago he has very clearly deteriorated. The grandson said that the family was expecting him to only last a few days in hospice when he first entered, and perhaps his wife still being alive gave him some sort of purpose to keep on living, some will to live. I'm expecting this to be very quick now, and judging from how he looks, it's probably for the best so he doesn't have to suffer.

Charlie Munger (1924-2023) "I want you to look at me like Warren Buffett looks at Charlie Munger" (Every girl's romantic dream) That fucking CRYPTO-DOG!!!! (Charlie Munger's, a well known detractor of cryptocoins, last words) Age at death: 99 Known health issues: Lost one eye due to botched surgery in the 50s, frail and wheelchair bound in recent years, looking half dead in 2023. Cause of death: Wrong investment policy Alignment: Ethernal sphynx who presided over Berkshire Hathaway along with his master Warrenn Buffett for 45 years. It will feel strange to see an empty chair near to Buffett at the next shareholders meeting.

Yeah well, in fairness, he's about the right age to be running for US President.

In some ways it may have prolonged his life as there was not going to be medical interventions which may have been too stressful for his body. This was probably part of the decision making process

Well, now we know what caused the wound on his arm.

On a side note : quite a remarkable moment to witness a 99yo man, 10 month in hospice care attend his own wife Memorial in such a mediocre condition. Their love and his strengh are quite impressive. To show yourself in such a weak state takes strengh and resilience that, I think, only his love for Rosalynn can explain.

He looked godawful a few months back when he and Rosalynn went on that parade ride. Compared to today, him in the car pic looks AMAZING.

mr ryoung122 was blocked across the fandom wikia network by wikia staff gerontology wiki of wikia is having lower quality because of weird managemenet behaviour and deleting information and links during last months. Ushi Makishi is still listed as limbo and 114 years 0+ days while her nursing home with consent of family said she died 114 years and 139 days. all the wiki is a mess during the last period and more unreliable.a big number of validated supercentenarians is listed as unvalidated.

It's obvious Jimmy is near the end looking at him. I'm sure the recent loss of the love of his life is taking an even bigger toll. To be married for 77 years is remarkable in and of itself. I can take comfort in the fact that they'll be reunited soon enough. He's had a very long life, and has touched so many lives in 99 years. He's earned his reward for eternity. I hope they're at least keeping him comfortable in his last days. God bless Jimmy Carter. He may not be the best president, but probably the classiest person to ever hold the office, and I'm not sure if any other president will come close.

Why do I have an awful feeling that the committee will place Dick Van Dyke above Carter on the list if he makes it to 2024.

So, in other words Charles commented to say the colour didn't matter and did so fully in the awareness that he was then heir to the throne of a country in which racism remains an issue. Nowt to see here, then. How about we recycle every copy of that book so's we've got a decent stockpile of bog rolls ahead of the next pandemic and panic buying!

Happy happy anniversary to the Deathlist. I believe that is 36 years Or maybe 37? I'm done counting, but have a cake anyway. Always remember because it's the anniversary of the death of Cary Grant.

Here he is in one of my locals about a week ago. He looks in fine form. (Photo nicked from the Book of Face - I wasn't there)

I had the same thought. I wonder whether Rosalynn still looks better than Jimmy even now.Seems a realistic possibility.

This is literally the most decayed ive seen someone on this forum since that Vietnamese(?) communist who's face they had to pixelate for his 105th birthday or something because he was so rotten.

Genuinely get him on next year's list. Famous enough old enough and sick enough is a rare enough hattrick for a DLy name. And he doesn't feel like he's got much time left...

I mean...if he makes it...he's going to be the most popular deadpool pick ever in 2024.
