9 pointsThese images of him are only 2 years apart. Not sure if it's bad diet, sleeping habits, drugs etc,but he has aged rapidly since acquiring twitter dot com. Clearly doomscrolling on social media is bad for one's health.

4 pointsThey'd be crazy to drop Whale and Nolan. They're in their 5th and 8th years respectively of having stage 4 cancer, with not even a hint of remission. It would be embarrassing to have a repeat of Shannen Doherty next year.

3 pointsWith only 50 slots available, there isn't enough room for every celebrity over 80. Most of these people weren't on our radar cause they had no known health issues apart from old age. Gena Rowlands Alzheimer's diagnosis wasn't made public until June of this year.

2 pointsI do not necessarily see these as misses. They are perhaps picks that were good possibilities of death, and maybe they even looked into those people but in the end decided on others for their lineup instead. Honestly they can't fit everyone who is in their 90s or is sick. There is just not enough spots on the list. In my opinion a miss would be not putting on the list the no -brainer picks like Carter, or a person on their death bed like Steve McMichael. One for sure I do maybe see as a miss would be Shannen Doherty being that at the end of 2023 we were given the news that her cancer had spread to her brain.

2 pointsI say without doubt bring back Liza Minnelli, Yoko Ono, Douglas Hurd and David Attenborough back onto next years list and add the likes of Tippi Hedren, Julie Goodyear, Jean Marsh, Joan Plowright, Don King, Franki Valli and Sidney Cooke then the 2025 list could be like hitting the casino jackpot especially if the current sick/ elderly frail lingerers stay with us until midnight on New Year's Eve.

2 pointsMost obvious case is Carter.100 in hospice and looks like he has already died. There is also there is Esther Rantzen who has only been brought extra time by a drug trial.Normally would be long gone. Then there is Starmer_Smith who has been in the final stage of Alzheimers for at least 3 years and looked ghastly in 2021. Roberta Flack surviving 2 years with ALS and a previous stroke seems bordering on miraculous. Sonny Rollins has had terminal fibrosis for many years far longer than you would expect for anyone let alone a 94 year old. Joanne Woodward has had alzheimers for 17 years and has been in the advanced stage for years. James Whale should be dead by now but looks sounds and seems better than he has for about 3 years .I would even drop him next year of I was the committee given how many drops are needed. Linda Nolan.Has had metastatic cancer for seven years with multiple sights of spread and other complications.Still think she should be carried over next year. Chomsky is by all accounts extremely frail and it seems as though he should be long gone by now. Ted Turner has had lewy body dementia for years and has disappeared from public view since revealing his dementia in 2018. Tom Baker was hospitalised last year and Is as gaunt as you can get but is still out and about.

1 pointUnprofessional actor Andrei Neretin, famous for his only role in satirical sketches about the life of Vitaly Nalivkin, a popularly elected member of the Ussuriysk City Duma, has died at the age of 48. The project's film crew has been hounded by the police for the fourth year since the Interior Ministry spokeswoman Irina Volk did not like her satirical "copy" - Marina Wolf - one of the show's heroines. Recently, the show's founders have faced another charge: making explosives. According to the plot of one of the episodes, Nalivkin fired a grenade launcher at a bus stop, and hit a shield with a United Russia banner. In fact, special pyropatrons were used for staging special effects. On 4 October, the actor said that he was forced to leave the project because of the continuing pressure from the police. The cause of death is indicated by a broken blood clot. Local publications say that the man was very worried about the forced termination of his career (he started drinking again). ru.wiki youtube.com/@barakuda_usk

1 pointThe National Portrait Gallery shared this fantastic photo of John Hemingway, last of The Few. It's dated this year, so he's at least still capable of getting dressed up and showing himself to the public.
