I know there is no chance of him getting onto the 2025 DL but... Ever since Eddie Floyd (R&B singer born 1937, who scored with hits such as "Knock On Wood") retired last year, it seems he detoriated a bit, at least according to the photos his son posts on Facebook...I am not saying he is 2025 DL material, but he is certainly a one to watch.

I could be wrong, but I'm sure I read on here that Jason Herbert died in Brazil about 5 years ago?

I volunteer practically opposite a Homebase and it is quite popular place to go on a weekend (some staff also use their big car park if ours is full). My dad gets things for DIY. They also seem to sell Christmas stuff in what feels like September.

Yes, it is. One near me closed down, and was demolished along with the adjoining shops. The whole block was rebuilt - now includes a nice shiny Lidl - and lo and behold, a Homebase appeared in the precise spot where it died before. I never went in there much. It used to be quite good when Sainsburys owned it, albeit on the expensive side, but at least it was well stocked with proper DIY stuff. But with the changes of ownership it lost its way.

I found it surprising, to say the least, that the BBC obituary of Timothy West made no mention at all of 'Edward the Seventh' - surely he's better known for that than for appearing in seven episodes of 'Coronation Street' in 2013. I remember that series very fondly - I was only 12 in 1975 but as it was deemed of historical value I was allowed to stay up once a week to watch it. Annette Crosbie was a perfect Queen Victoria. 'I, Claudius' a year later was a very different affair. TW was also memorable in the 'Royal Jelly' episode of 'Tales of the Unexpected' from 1980.

It was actually a brilliant song, lyrics, tune and performance. Whether it was better than We are the world is an interesting question. It could have done without all the updates though.

Going to Berlin later this month, was checking out some reviews of the hotel we're staying at on TripAdvisor (4.5 from 4,591 ratings). However, this dissenting voice has decided it's "woke" because there's no bedside USB chargers.

Cancer is normally a peaceful death. Horrible end of life experiences tend to come from things like Parkinson’s, motor neurone disease, Alzheimer’s etc. Esther just loves a bandwagon. If she wants it that bad she should go to Switzerland and be done with it. Even in her dying days she’s got to be a social justice warrior for something.
