3 pointsSo it’s more young people being affected this time round, and Matt ‘cock is all over the papers lecturing young people about not “killing their gran” when in reality he’s overseen the deaths of thousands of fucking grans in care homes by discharging untested patients into them.

2 pointsThere is news regarding the second wave. It may happen, it may not. As YIA mentioned earlier, there IS a second wave where he lives, plus the second wave in the UK is sounding more and more likely... For now, this thread exists for speculation, news articles regarding second wave etc... The first wave ended as soon as we were released from quarantine in June/July, right now we are easing back into normal life for the sake of the economy. Also when was the last time I started an already existing thread? Dont worry, I'll be sure that the third wave thread is up on the site as soon as it happens KM

2 pointsIsn't it a bit too early to call it a 2nd wave? Yes, cases a rising again, but deaths aren't. Maybe a tad too early to call for a 2nd wave since we're not close enough to the numbers from the initial wave. hey, I'm no expert, but I just won't call it a 2nd wave. Not yet at least. And even if we were in the 2nd wave, why not continue in the original Covid-19 threads. Just my 2 cents.

1 pointHa. Writing hopefully entertaining and witty obits for them when they die I can help you with. (Well, for the next 15 months!) Them buggering up any OCD lists (hi!) by changing gender is beyond my ability to fix as DDP co-host.

1 pointNah, not having that. If the Cmme can find space for Lamotta, JPdC and Mubarak on the list year after year just in case they died (all 3 have now), they can bloody well use one of those spots for a much loved A list 95+ year old just in case.

1 pointI don't think thats quite right. According to IMDB all of the main cast are now dead APART from Mark Russell who played Detective Saperstein in 107 of the 117 episodes. Telly Savalas, Dan Frazer and now Kevin Dobson starred in all the episodes whilst George Savalas (Telly's brother) was in 114 episodes. Vince Conti (died in 2018) was in 92 episodes. After these no other actor was in more then 12 episodes so I would say Mark Russell was one of the main cast even though he wasn't in every one of them. He was born in 1933 in Glasgow according to IMDB and his last role was in 1985 so no idea how he's doing now...

1 pointYeah, I dunno about you but I find it extremely surprising that the government’s plan to keep cases down by sending every cunt back to work and bribing them to eat at restaurants as much as possible appears not to have worked. But it’s okay, because Matt ‘cock can just go on Jeremy Vine or BBC Breakfast and blame students for the virus’ resurgence.

1 pointAll the politicians are acting surprised that the infection rate is rising again and yet it was them that eased the restrictions. The lockdown should have lasted at least another month and international air travel should not have been re-started at all.

1 pointProbably worth mentioning that Cindy Bullens is a transgender bloke now known as Cidny Bullens. Also Wiki has him as born in 1950?

1 pointSame here, and I don't hold out any great hopes of getting any more.

1 pointThree categories up, and only one unique , albeit a surprising Gianluca Vialli. Not a good start for my chances of winning this with unique picks. Considering that my "Random Yugoslav from 1950" pick didn't manage to be unique, I wouldn't be confident of getting two more from the remaining two categories. Just have to hope that no-one else has heard that Olivia Newton-John has cancer

1 pointVeikko "Vexi" Salmi, Finnish lyricist who wrote lyrics for over 4000 songs for, for example Ilkka Lipsanen (Danny) and Irwin Goodman dead at 77. I remember him from this song: https://www.iltalehti.fi/viihdeuutiset/a/e0c02850-b259-48a4-862d-97df68b73f17

1 pointTennis Grand slam title winners was going to be one of my topics if I had won Scavenger Hunt so she would have been an excellent pick for that.

1 pointWhat's amazing me is how many songs - sort of - fit the enigmatic outline I posted and this one has indeed had a title tweaking, Not sure about the metal makeover (unless you count Joan Jett's cover - though that's fairly close to the Arrows original b-side). That said it has topped charts outside the UK and Jett made #4 here before the Ladbaby cover hit the top. Really good call but not the one I was thinking of

1 pointDancing With the Stars in Ireland and Australia (and that is what I can quickly find on Youtube) have had same sex couples dancing so not exactly breaking barriers when other countries have done it first. Just look at Courtney Act dancing here. I hardly think you'll be giving her a chance when you say you will turn off as soon as she appears. Maybe open your mind a little. Just because she's queer (more specifically bisexual) - doesn't mean she's going to be dressed in a suit all the damn time and if so then she'll rock the fuck out of it. Queer people have been dancing with same sex partners for a while now and so it should be broadcast to show representation, especially to girls who are black and bisexual and have never felt represented. To those conservatives who don't want queer folks on TV - then bye bye.

1 pointIn tennis, only ten women have ever won a career grand slam - ie win all 4 of the tennis Grand Slams (Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon, US Open). Maureen Connolly and Doris Hart are long dead. Steffi Graff, Billie Jean King, Margaret Court, Chris Evert, Serena Williams, Martina Navratilova and Maria Sharapova are all well known and would be DLers if their health is ever to fail publicly. Lesser known in 2020, but still breathing is the tenth person, 1956 Wimbledon champ Shirley Fry, who turned 93 a few months ago and is therefore on the radar of any team wanting to pick a nonagenarian sports star.
