And that's that. Mary Fairhurst and Betty White were our last hits. And there was also the very late QO for LG Petrov in the Metro's year-end obituary list, leading to this final score: Rank Team Score 1 Cpt. Chorizo has won a fairly clear and never really threatened start-to-finish victory, congratulations! I kind of called it from the start for his very solid, somewhat defensive team, that hit most of the right notes and showed no clear weakness. The late obits closed the gap somewhat, and Joey got back the second place from Salmon Mousse because LG Petrov was just a little younger than Mary Fairhurst. We've had 8 players with more than 1000 points, also a nice benchmark. We've had lots of unique hits, many from Gooseberry Crumble, but I'd also like to give a shout-out to @GuyFromFuture and his unique hit with Norm MacDonald. We had surprisingly few joker scorers, thanks to two Toms, a Tim (Bilton) and Ady Barkan surviving. Rush Limbaugh scored, Jake The Snake Roberts didn't. Nobody jokered David Gulpilil, who in the DDP was the most valuable canon joker (with Greg Gilbert being sort of semi-canon). Now, that's already been different in the new year where Gary Burgess has scored for more than half the players... Let's see how that goes, thanks for playing in 2021!

At least when the traffic to the blog tells me that the largest referrer for the day is "deathlist.net".

Nobody likes your input because you suggest people that are already on everybody's radars and have been discussed extensively on the forum already (Tina Turner, Clint Eastwood, Barbara Walters, Tiger Woods... really?). Bring something new to the table and maybe ppl will stop facepalming you. Not too sure if you lack self awareness or just a terrible troll. Hard to tell on this forum sometimes.

Interesting and in a way pointless fact. With the death of Sidney Poitier Sophia Loren, along with Angie Dickinson and Liza Minnelli, is one of a small number of celebrities still alive who attended probably the biggest and grandest funeral in Hollywood history-Frank Sinatras.

I must try to introduce you both. Might help.

Your patience with these arseholes is commendable, if mystifying. But that's why you're admin and I'm a psychopathic serial killer, I suppose.

Nehemiah Persoff in a December zoom interview. Debatably doesn't look so great in this one but amazing for a 102-year old who retired in the 1980s due to health problems and looked like he was on the brink of death at 100

Classic tune, Indiana Wants Me. Though first time I heard it was while driving, so the police closing in on him scared me shitless at first!

A few more as well. His daughter Nancy was there as was ex wife Mia. Jack Nicholson, Faye Dunaway, Tony Bennett, Bob Newhart and Robert Wagner also all went.

Ha. Ha. Ha. Either a troll, a child, or someone with a chronic low self awareness...or maybe IQ. As @Perhaps said more elegantly Contribute or GTFO

It just hit me this must be the earliest in the year where TCM has their "yep, there's our finishing name for December" moment! Admittedly not every year has a name that has you instantly go "yeah, they're the one short of an even bigger name dying" but Poitier would be tough to outdo.

There is of course an extremely loose link between today's two big deaths. Sidney Poiter/Potter/Harry Belafonte is referenced in the first joke in Only Fools and Horses episode 1, which was set in Peckham, whose MP the last 40 years has been Harriet Harman, wife of Jack Dromey. If someone else loosely linked to OFAH dies this weekend we have the most 3-2-1 clue "rule of 3" ever...

How in the name of the lord God’s pendulous fucking gonads do you “sense” something like that? Ditto this “feeling”. You sure you don’t just need a shit?
