Not mentioned above but what about Ruth Buzzi? Admittedly, she is probably not as well known in the UK, but she has had a series of strokes and Laugh-in is a legendary show here in the US.

Not dead yet, but I had no idea where to put this post (we need a designers thread IMO). A small plane carrying the head of the Missoni fashion house and his wife has gone missing off the coast of Venezuela.

IPF since 2014, not COPD (or atleast haven't heard of her having it). Still, average life expectancy for IPF ain't that high and I don't think she's had a lung transplant. Was deciding between her and Duke Fakir for this year's, so she's perhaps going on my next year's.

That too was an extreme case, 26 years is a long time to live with Alzheimer's. Woodward is older than Vitti by a year, too, and probably won't last much longer, she certainly won't be here 10 years from now, frankly I don't think she wants to be, Alzheimer's for 15 years must cause unimaginable suffering for her. My grandfather was diagnosed with it a few years ago. I, personally, cannot begin to conceive how she must be, having had it about five times as long.

Joanne Woodward should definitely return. Has had dementia for around 15 years and I'm suprised she's still alive.

so she was running her own death list.

This is just a list of the fatalities of people on my radar but not on my Shadowlist, often quite a few of them die about late November-early December time, last year there was at least one every day from ~27th November until 9th December. I'm not saying many of them are DL-level famous as such, just that they are recently-deceased and on my radar as possiblities for 2023 (my own pool has incredibly low fame requirements, if one can prove who they are, their date of birth (however exaggerated that may be), and they have a Wikipedia or IMDB page (I stretch to gerontology wiki for supercentenarians if necessary), that's usually good enough for me).

Please let's not. At this rate the thread will be clogged up with everybody in the whole fucking world, dead or alive.

Speaking of QE2 I am seeing reports that he has been spotted in public with black hands which in the aforementioned case was a very bad omen. Can't find any pictures though Putin is a name I wouldn't mind seeing on DL 2023.Even if the rumours about his health are bullshit someone could take him out .If he did have cancer or was assassinated or died in a retaliatory nuclear strike it would be seen in hindsight as a massive miss

Worth noting that while we await Philip Latham's obit - ha! It's what the Guardian's Other Lives is for if you can't fit it in amongst all the Glee also rans. So as I was saying Linda Cristal wasn't in a damn thing film or TV wise since 1988 - a year before Philip Latham retired - and in nothing the UK would have been watching since the early 1980s. Yet old Linda gets Obits everywhere - latest is the Guardian today.

Golinski gives his first interview. This is one celeb I really do feel for having lost everything like that. Glad he is starting to recover, at least in a physical sense.

Nice attempt at a pun but I do believe Cold As Ice was a hit by Foreigner... Rumbled! All the mid-80's US MOR dirge merges into one for me...

Sorry My Lady, had to alter some of your post so that it made more sense. No need to apologise Sir Josco!! But perhaps you should check your spelling of politician, gives more meaning to the phrase 'the ayes have it'.

From memory, his corpse was exhumed, then hung, drawn and quartered and displayed as a warning to others. A symbolic punishment, but one nevertheless.
