2 pointsFrank Busseri has died according to his nephew, now leaving (I believe) Doris Day and Vera Lynn as the only survivors who had a 1952 UK top ten hit: Here's that #7 UK hit from 1952, Faith Can Move Mountains:

2 pointsMy dad has been discharged today! We know and he knows his time is limited, but we are trying to spend it at best. For now I'm happy we did not lose dad when we had lost all hopes.

2 pointsAs a sign of how serious Turkey is celebrating democracy with their upcoming elections, they registered 165-year old Ayse Ekici, 149-year old "Zulfu" (no last name) and 148-year old "Ayse" (no last name) to vote: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-46946282 Also, there is one apartment that houses approximately 1000 people.

1 pointPoor Pam, humped. Shared a taxi with the Nolans afterwards, that was quite difficult after laughing at them all the way through the episode.

1 pointI'm still trying to find an episode of Win Lose or Draw with him in it along with Danny Baker, Coleen Nolan, Maureen Nolan, Paul Coia, some woman named Pam and a bloke who's name eludes me. It's a cracking episode so I'm told.

1 pointNot a celeb. Too remote. If he was mayor of the town where the magazine was published, you may be onto something.

1 pointYes, the section of the polar vortex currently extend it's arm into Canada and the northern US is expected to retreat back polewards by the weekend. Although some uncertainty as to how far the US should warm up. (This chart shows the temperature at 1500m above sea level, as general rule subtracting 1 degress per 100m above sea level (find out yours here) will give you rough ground temp expectations, this is lessened with snowcover and snowfall, as the ground is colder anyway). These charts show what I mean, purple is cold obvs. Much of the US should be above nearing or above freezing by Sunday night.* GFS Today 3pm GMT (10am EST) Sunday (3pm GMT/10am EST) ECMWF - (Roughly 4pm UK Time/11am EST) Valid Roughly 4pm Sunday/11am EST *As always take these charts with a large pinch of salt. However they are generally a bit better at long range forecasting the US than the UK not least due to the much large landmass, there could still be a few cold states or Canada might be a bit warmer

1 pointJust been to get a loaf of bread at a cost of £1.03p and gave the grumpy looking girl at the till a £20 note. She said "have you got anything smaller as that would take all my change." I said "no sorry but I can pay on card if that helps?" She sarcastically said " of course it would help" So as a presented my card she said "Cash back?" I said "Yes please!" "How much?" She asked I said "£18.97"

1 pointSo the next crash by that logic will be in 2074, we will all be long dead and Phillip recovering from his 10th hip replacement will be injuring our grandchildren and coming away from the accident without a scratch.

1 pointApparently, Fox News erroneously aired a graphic, albeit for a couple of seconds, indicating that she’d shuffled off:

1 pointBingo! I hope I have made amendments (just now) to the opening rules post that clarifies what you just asked about, and more! Check it out Quim - and I hope it has addressed concerns by those who didn't like the original changes from last years game.

1 pointAnd note that the 49,000 figure is specifically opioid overdoses alone; the total USA overdose death toll last year came to 72,000, nearly half again as many. And according to the UN office on drugs and crime, the USA has the highest drug overdose rate per capita of any country in the world; unsurprising as the total worldwide drug overdose death tally came to 160,000 in 2015. Meaning, most likely, that the 4% of the world's population who live in the USA account for more than 40% of all drug overdose deaths worldwide. Within the USA, the single worst hit state is West Virginia, with an annual mortality of 57.8 drug overdose deaths per 100,000 people per year, or 1 in every 2,000 people dying of an overdose each year. EDIT: It's no surprise, then, that West Virginia has such a low life expectancy; at 75.4 years, it comes in lower than Jamaica, Serbia, or Algeria. Which is not to say the situation is great elsewhere either. The UK has also been setting new drug overdose death records for itself in recent years, with a record 3,744 drug poisoning deaths in England and Wales in 2016, for instance. The worst hit region, the Northeast, has an annual mortality of 7.7 drug misuse deaths per 100,000 people per year. EDIT: Also, if the US are world champions, the UK are EU champions, with the highest rate of drug-related deaths of any EU country, and accounting for 31% of the EU total.
