As a fourth-estater myself, if it was a pre-written obituary it would have a line in it reading something like "Legendary quiz show host Bob Barker has died TKTKTK aged TKTKTK". "TKTKTK" being the usual code for "needs replacing when confirmed". Which leads me to believe it was a freshly written news story published incorrectly, presumably because Bob's on his last legs.

Bonus trivia, this was the last edition of the show that was presented by Wogan.

I feel your pain. I'm also the Grim Reaper. Just depends which hat I feel like wearing when I get out of bed in the morning...

Went into work yesterday, forgot to lift my hat (it gets cold in Scotland sometimes ) so I asked the boss for a hat. This is what he gave me. Bloody disappointed he didn't have one with PB.

I've seen Gabriel in concert several times. Genesis lost its soul when he and Hackett and left. Phil Collins should have stuck to drumming. Happy birthday, Peter!

From the article he still goes for a 2 or 3 mile walk most days with his wife at 101. Captain Tom raised £33m walking 250 metres a day for 10 days at 99. Massively overhyped. (God I’m never going to get over the fuss made about Captain Tom - I need counselling).

    I second that. There's a good chance he's at death's door.

The latter in my opinion. Good find @Ulitzer95

He's down as Jose Cruz on that. It's all a bit messy to put it mildly.

Thanks. I beg to differ but thanks anyway. For the record I don't think my ex wrote anything nasty ,anything like that will be from me. There are just a few things here and there which are unlikely to be from me, the Johnny Halliday thread for instance or some things in the Deathlist kitchen thread. Being out of lockdown is all well and good but as my family all live across and I can't see them yet I am not celebrating just yet.

Nope. msc thought I was a sock when I first joined, but he'll tell you I'm a human being and not a piece of cotton with googly eyes if you interrogate him...

DDP unique pick for me Milford Graves was the subject of a career retrospective in Philadelphia that ended just the other day, and he was able to make it for an online Q&A to mark its end. He turns up around 54 minutes in and, I'll be honest, I don't think I've wasted a pick here:
