We could - like - spy on him, though I think once you're over the fence it's about a three mile walk to his mansion Might just hang out in Lee Kerslake's local instead.

So you did, but you never mentioned his name so it didn't show up in the search!

Thank you for noticing and mea culpa not catching that much earlier. I gave it five minutes of thought and decided, because TUM entered a sub, to remove the second Terry Jones and put Bob Barker in spot 25. This has zero impact on TUM's rock-bottom score as everyone below Terry Jones #2 is still alive.

She should definitely stay on the list just like many other older people before.

If Terry Jones should pass away during 2018, will the Unknown Man be down both minus 8 points AND minus 12 points?

IT'LL BE ALL DEAD ON THE NIGHT 11/50 19th September 2018 Only 14 people had been picked on all three Crowdsourced lists to date, and that number dwindles with the death of Denis Norden. Norden got his break in the 1940s writing comedy routines for other performers, and it was during this time he met Frank Muir. Together, they formed first a writing/performing partnership and also a friendship which lasted fifty years until Muirs death in 1998. They were the nucleus of early BBC radio comedy series My Word, a pioneer in the word of improv comedy: an example of the sort of malaprop that show relied on was "Infamy infamy, they'll all got it in for me". Shame no one ran with that one. In later years, Denis Norden became host of perennial favourite collection of TV goofs, bloopers and fluffs It'll Be Alright on the Night, which began in 1977 and is still running. Once asked if he'd thought that show would have lasted 30 years at the time, he quipped: "I didn't think I'd last 30 years at that time!" A reassuringly consistent figure on TV, whose autobiography is refreshingly lacking in rancour (and indeed, biography!), Norden worked into his late 80s, and has died aged 96.

Oops forgot -- I said at the beginning of the year there would be 9 deaths. So here we are. My vote is No More This Year. SC

My heart sunk when I saw this topic was the last one posted in. Out of everybody on this years list Betty White is the one person I really hope survives for many more years

Hi all, I have watched DL from afar for about 4 years but only recently took the plunge and joined, I have a question to ask of some of the older sythe-sayers on the forums. Does someone actually have to be ill or showing obvious signs of dying to warrant having their own thread ? Is old age enough and if so what age would you class as old ? I don’t want to start pissing people off to be honest. Other than that I would like to say I am really enjoying the page as a whole, lots of knowledgeable members posting interesting stuff (Mostly) Cheers
