In an article from Judge Andrew Napolitano, who recently met the Pope. “The Pope is in poor health, can barely speak or walk; and he radiates sadness. I was thrilled to reside in his home for four days, but I don't think he'll be there much longer.”

Jeremiah Farrell died on July 4, 2022. A mathematics professor, he created what is often regarded as the "greatest crossword in history", which ran in the New York Times on the day of the 1996 US general election and was able to be solved in two ways: However, no obit for him in the NYT, or seemingly anywhere else outside of this website.

Still. The problem the Tories always have is they put party first. What about the country?

Kemi Badenoch tells the plotters to shut it - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-68595286 Or perhaps, makes a move to stifle them because she knows if they move now it's likely Penny Mordaunt's in there and Kemi's chances are busted as a result. In other news, here's a lovely 19th century engraving of a nest of vipers

Its always nice to see the toxic Diana fans come out to celebrate. They are still in denial of the fact that it was they more than anyone else who killed her.

This pool is going to be a nightmare for scoring given all the conflicting reports that come out of India, the Middle East and Africa about hospitalisations/conditions/discharges etc. Bloody good luck hosting!

Here' s a new deadpool in which people get points if their picks are hospitalised, and loose points if they die. A good way to celebrate the staying power of some people. RULES 1) Pick 10 people for your team (plus 1/2 subs). 2)Entries close on midnight of March 31 2024 and game starts on 00:01 of 1st April 2024. 3)Game last one year. Whoever has the highest score wins. SCORING 1)If your pick is hospitalised you get +10 points 2)For every ten days your pick spends in hospital you get +5 points 3)If your picks gets discharged you get +10 points 4)If your pick is in ICU you get +5 points 5)If your pick enters hospice care you get +20 points 5)If your pick dies in hospital you get -20 points 6)If your pick dies after being discharged or without having been in hospital you get -10 points PERENIALLY HOSPITALISED If your pick is perenially hospitalised (e.g. Zhang Lixiong, Shi Ping, Yang You) or a perennial hospice patient (ahem Jimmy) you get +10 points for every month they survive and -20 points if they die. These are the rules. If there are questions feel free to ask.

Also on Newsmax as well a Fox News type outlet. If they said it was raining I'd still look outside the window to check

Hello, Welcome. You're not alone. There are others. Though despite my name I'm English. Theres also a thread for Frenchies who are less well known outside their home country. Not unless your name contains any variation of crem, old, the. In which case there should be a backlog of at least 6 months at the posting border. If not, you're good to go.

Take it with a grain of salt. The author seems to have a flair for sensationalism.

Singer-songwriter and model Sky Ferreira has postponed her UK tour, citing vocal issues. She hasn't released an album since 2013 and has released just 2 solo singles in the last 5 years, despite teasing her second album for almost a decade. Her label dropped her several months ago. She and her ex-boyfriend were arrested in 2013 for possession of her0in and ecstasy. There are clips of her gurning on stage, and commenters online claiming to have seen her shooting up. Some of her performances in the last few years have been very badly reviewed due to her arriving late and appearing unstable. I know all this because I bought a ticket the day before it was postponed. I hope I get to see her in good form, whenever it may be, but unfortunately her future seems less certain than 90% of the Lil rappers everyone's so focused on. Time will tell whether she's an Amy Winehouse or simply a Lauryn Hill in the realm of unproductive musicians.

Surely the BBC's plan for his coverage would have kicked in by now. Nothing on BBC News here in the US, and nothing I can find on any of the other major outlets, or from reliable sources on social media. Baseless rumour.

He used to live near me - summat we discussed years ago hereabouts. A fairly regular site in the local Tesco's, and very fond of Costa Coffee in the supermarket. Sure I've mentioned before I once came close to clattering him, totally his fault, I was jogging past the newsagents and he came out with his head in - I think - The Daily Mail, wandering right onto the pavement without looking, obliging me to take evasive action.

My great-gran died when I was ten. (I had three others, of course, but they all died in their 70s so well before my time!) I remember her quite well, she was a wee dotty old woman who loved The Simpsons of all things, once burned a turkey in the oven, and liked to pretend to be deafer than she was for comedic effect! Apparently she was quite a terror when gran and co were younger, but I caught her in her autumn, so to speak. She got to the age of 96, looked after five generations of her own family, and lived independently right up to the end - she died a few days after a sudden massive stroke. Some woman! I was lucky to get a chance to know her. Thoughts with you both though: anniversaries hit us even with the passage of time. It'll soon be three years since my uncle died aged 48. I've often replayed the last time I saw him - Christmas Day 2012 - in my head, and how he gave us a lift home. He looked like he had a cold (he had a heart attack a few weeks later) but then what can you do? That's life for you. My daughter never got to meet him, which is the worst bit of it, as they'd have got on like a house on fire. Thoughts to all. Anniversaries are a bummer.
