Every single time we get this avalanche of protests about a 'big miss' by the committee . To the best of my knowledge nobody has done consistently better with their shadow lists if that's the right nomenclature for where you do your own 50. And even if they had, it's one persons guesses v another (possibly set of) persons. It's a guessing game, you are comparing a bunch of guesses made by some folks with an eye to being interesting against the reality 'after the event'.

I think LGBT+ people and Scots both have a uniquely dreich outlook on life. Everyone on this forum does, but we're exposed to the world being a spinning ball of doom before some others. Also, Wiki users have agreed to remove Donnie "Beezer" Smith from the list. There doesn't seem to have been evidence of him being alive for years now. I think the last time something concrete appeared was 2004(?). So that leaves just 5: Don Marion Davis, 102 Silas Hathaway, 101 (though not confirmed alive since he was about 98?) Mildred Kornman, 95 and the two remaining Watson siblings: Billy, 97 and Garry, 92. Will 2021 be the year when the silent era loses the last of its screen cast?
