Turns out George Nassar died off the radar in December 2018. Still got a full NYT obit. "A new movie about the case, “Boston Strangler,” which stars Keira Knightley and Carrie Coon and in which Mr. Nassar is played by Greg Vrotsos, asserts in a postscript that “George Nassar is still in prison in Massachusetts.” That claim intrigued Sarah Weinman, a crime journalist and the Crime & Mystery columnist for The New York Times Book Review. “If he was indeed alive, Nassar would be nearing 90,” she wrote in an email. “Considering he’d revealed a diagnosis of terminal cancer when last interviewed in 2018, the likelihood that he still lived seemed minuscule.” A call by her to the Massachusetts corrections department confirmed his death, though the details were not immediately provided."

I'm in a Dutch television quiz on friday, and deathlist helped me recognizing Alan Alda's name. Didn't dare to mention on air how I knew him..

There's some sketchy reports that Keith Reid, songwriter and official member of Procul Harum, may have died. I think this might have come from Facebook, but someone with access to that platform may wish to check. Probably more importantly, he's a pick on the current Scavvy Hunt @Bibliogryphon, so it might be worth finding out - unless the press get there first of course. Nothing firm at this stage though.

Max Hardcore (real name Paul Little), controversial porn director, porn actor, alleged rapist, "outlaw of porn" and from what I've read a really shitty guy in many ways, being reported dead at 66 from thyroid cancer complications.

Shannen Doherty, known globally for Beverly Hills 90210 and Charmed has breast cancer: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-3203822/Yes-cancer-Shannen-Doherty-44-confirms-breast-cancer-filing-lawsuit-against-business-manager-letting-health-insurance-lapse.html Very interesting case, she sues her former company for lapsed health insurance, so she couldn't visit a doctor for over a year. So it's possible the cancer is already at an advanced stage.

There's a Jimmy King photoshoot of David Bowie that circulates widely as the last photographs of him. They get posted with the claim that they were taken on his birthday in 2016, two days prior to his death, but there is no evidence to suggest this - they were simply published that day on Bowie's social media channels and were likely taken in 2015. Anyway - here's the last photo of Bowie we can be sure of. He's leaving the Lazarus premiere on 7 December 2015, his first public appearance in a long time and of course his last too. Great smile despite how ill he was.

Since I picked my team Russell Grant - got cancer found early, in remission Steve Buscemi - my "90s actor" theory was correct. But for Ray Liotta, who I didn't think of. John Goodman - Has actually gone on a health kick since this started and lost a lot of weight through a better diet (and tbf, cool!) Michael Barrymore - Not been in the news as much since that dad died. Art Garfunkel - No more in danger than any rock star in their early 80s. Not so much a punt pool as a gift of life!

Still no news on the motive for the shooting of the German Jehova's Witnesses, though press briefling shortly. Shooter likely amongst the casualties having committed suicide, more seriously injured than dead by the look of it. So, some of those shot but still breathing might - like - need a blood transfusion, or something https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-64910415

That picture is from May 2017. For some reason, viral tweets about Gene Hackman talking about his current life and how he goes biking etc. that include photos from a few years ago claiming to be recent are somewhat common.

Why don't you look up all acts of terrorism carried out in the name of religion, not just Islam. Let me know what you find. It's funny how you call the book I gave you a reference to is a "boring old book" which was written just 8 years ago. I've lost count of how many people who have told me I should read the bible (even though I have, on many occasion).

Theirs not much making a dupe when you can just post as a guest. Very True. But, mods and admins can see your IP address Deathray. Of course, but they could still do that if I created a dupe. Unless used a proxy browser but even they aren't foolproof.
